An evening lecture on a Gallup Balkan Monitor survey results
    Croatia: Tired of EU reforms?

Academy for Political Development, in partnership with the European Fund for the Balkans, organized a round table entitled „Croatia – Tired of EU Reforms?”. The event took place on February 6th 2009. in EU Info Center, Delegation of the European Commission to the Republic of Croatia. 

The intented goal of this event was to present survey results of Gallup Balkan Monitor, which offers an overview of the attitudes and perceptions of citizens relating to the EU accession. Gallup Balkan Monitor continually monitors the views of citizens: from their opinions about  standard of living, attitude about possibility of moving away, (dis)satisfaction with performance of their governments or general level of happiness and attitudes towards the EU.

Robert Manchin, the director of the Gallup Europe introduced the survey results, which was followed by a discussion with panellists: Vesna Pusić, President of National Committee for Monitoring of Accession Negotiations, Vincent Degert, Head of the Delegation of the Euorpean Commission to the Republic of Croatia, Davor Božinović, State Secretary for the European Integration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Žarko Puhovski, Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. Zrinka Vrabec Mojzeš, journalist and editor (Radio 101), moderated the discussion that followed, and exchange of opinions between the panelists and the audience, which included Ambassadors of the EU and regional countries, members of the Academy for Political Developments and citizens interested in the future of Croatia’s EU accession.
