From 6-9. May 2010 on the island of Brač (Postira) Academy for Political Development has organised 2nd annual educational seminar entitled „Communication Skills for Public Affairs“. The purpose of this training seminar was to enable participants acquiring practical skills (public speech, public relations, negotiations, lobbying), applicable in their professional environment and to discuss the practice and effects of media, and the quality and dynamics of public discourse in general.

Lecturers in the programme were – apart from Marija Radonić (Erste Card Club d.d.) and Dunja Lakuš (RTL television) – alumni of Academy's programme: Sandi Blagonić (Instutute for Historical and Social Science, Rijeka; Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts), Dubravko Miholić (Hauska & Partners; Secretary General of Croatian Lobbists' Society), Zora Lažeta (Spokesperson, Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia), Marina Škrabalo (Member of the Programme Board of Croatian Radiotelevision), Željana Buntić-Pejaković (Programme manager, NGO Cenzura Split), Darko Parić (Member of Split City Council), Denis Rubić (Director of Dalmaconsult company) and Josip Šarić (Journalist and Reporter, Croatian Television). Besides learning opportunity and exchange of good practices and personal experience, this has also enabled cross-generational networking of participants of Academy's programme.
